Inaugural Vice Commadore Cup - Winter Series Handicap Race 4 18th August 2024
IOM Start Line in light conditions.
The morning began with light westerly winds that gradually strengthened as the day progressed. This led to patchy lull conditions interspersed with occasional nosedive gusts, making the race quite challenging.
Today’s event was the inaugural Vice Commodore’s Cup, generously donated by John McLachlan. Paul Pearson and Phil Rowe proudly lifted the hardware.
The IOMs provided the day’s entertainment, with one yacht even taking off down the marina, pursued by the rescue boat.
