JL Sullivan PG Kampe Trophies 2024

A great day sailing this Sunday for the IOM JL Sullivan Trophy and DF65 PG Kampe Trophy. Perfect conditions on A+ rigs and lovely to see almost everyone wearing their new club white shirts!

The harbour really sparkled in the north easterly breeze with mostly open clear wind across the course. A big thanks to Russell a great job driving the buoybots, and a well appreciated course change between races 4 and 5.

Great to see newcomer Chris Somers, starting at scratch and shortly after, 30 seconds when he won a few races and placed in another before having winch issues and missing the last few races.

Marcel won the DF65 PG Kampe Trophy with David Proctor second and Colin third.

Thanks to Colin for launching all those boats today and great to see you’re giving that old knee one last work out before the upgrade!

Winner of the JL Sullivan Trophy, despite the ear to ear grin, is not a trophy hunter :) – well done Jeremy! Noel was second and Ian Shaw third.

Thanks to our chef Peter Harris for the snags after sailing. Great job and the tasty bakery bread makes all the difference.

A great turn out today thanks to all who turned up!

Ignore the K2 and missing Designs. All in this image are DF65
